I've heard that electric motors are more efficient than combustion engines, but why is this the case specifically for the BMW i5?

Hi Sarah, great question! The BMW i5's electric motor is more efficient because it converts almost all of the energy it receives into motion, whereas a combustion engine wastes a significant amount of energy as heat.
