Why is the engine of my BMW 6 Series making a ticking sound?

I have noticed that my BMW 6 Series engine is making a ticking sound when I start the car. It seems to go away after a few minutes of driving. Is this normal or is there something wrong with my engine?

It is not normal for your engine to make a ticking sound, especially when starting up. This could indicate that there is an issue with your engine, such as low oil levels or a faulty valve. It's important to take your car to a trusted mechanic to have it checked out.

I had the same issue with my BMW 6 Series. It turns out that there was a problem with the timing chain tensioner. I would recommend taking your car to a BMW dealership as they are more familiar with the specific technicalities of your car.
