Why is the engine of my BMW X5 making a clicking noise?

I recently purchased a used BMW X5 and I've noticed that the engine makes a clicking noise when I start it. It only lasts for a few seconds and then goes away. Should I be concerned?

It's not uncommon for BMW engines to make a clicking noise upon start up, especially if it's an older model. This could be due to normal wear and tear on the engine components. However, if the noise persists or gets louder, it could be a sign of a bigger issue.
