Why is the engine of my BMW X5 making a strange noise?

I recently noticed that the engine of my BMW X5 is making a strange noise when I start the car. It goes away after a few seconds but I'm concerned if it could be a sign of a bigger issue. Should I take it to the dealership or is there something I can do to fix it myself?

Hi Jasmine, the strange noise could be caused by a variety of reasons, such as a loose belt or low oil levels. It's always best to take your BMW to a certified mechanic or dealership for a proper diagnosis. They have the expertise and equipment to accurately identify and fix any issues. It's not recommended to try and fix it yourself as it could potentially cause more damage.

Hey Jasmine, I had a similar issue with my BMW X5 a while back. It turned out to be a faulty power steering pump. I suggest taking it to the dealership for a proper inspection and to see if it's covered under warranty. In the meantime, avoid driving your car for too long to prevent further damage.
