Will adding a cold air intake improve my BMW Z4's performance?

I was thinking of adding a cold air intake to my BMW Z4 to improve its performance. Will this actually make a difference or is it just a waste of money? I'm not very knowledgeable about car modifications so any advice is greatly appreciated.

In my experience, adding a cold air intake to my BMW Z4 did make a noticeable difference in performance. The increased airflow can provide a boost in horsepower and torque.
