I recently purchased a BMW iVision and was wondering if it is possible to retrofit any autonomous driving technology to it? I love the car but would love to have the added safety and convenience of autonomous driving. Is this possible and if so, what options do I have?
ReplyUnfortunately, it is not currently possible to retrofit autonomous driving technology to your BMW iVision. This feature is only available on newer models that are specifically designed for it.
While it is not possible to retrofit full autonomous driving technology, there are some aftermarket options available that can give you similar features such as lane departure warning and adaptive cruise control. However, keep in mind that these may not be as advanced as the factory-installed technology.
My personal advice would be to upgrade to a newer BMW iVision model that comes with autonomous driving technology already installed. It may be a bigger initial investment, but it will provide the best and safest experience in the long run.
