Eco mode vs comfort mode - what's the difference?

I recently purchased a BMW 7 Series and noticed that it has both an eco mode and a comfort mode. Can you explain the difference between the two and when I should use each one?

Eco mode is designed to optimize fuel efficiency while comfort mode is geared towards providing a smooth and comfortable ride. If you're looking to save on gas, use eco mode while if you want a more luxurious driving experience, opt for comfort mode.

I found that eco mode significantly reduces the car's performance, whereas comfort mode allows for more spirited driving. It's really a matter of personal preference, but I tend to switch between the two depending on my mood.

In my experience, eco mode can be helpful in stop-and-go traffic or on long highway drives, but for everyday driving in the city, I prefer comfort mode. It just feels smoother and more responsive.
