How do I change the oil in my BMW 6 Series?

I have a 2017 BMW 6 Series and I noticed the oil change notification has come on. How do I change the oil myself? Is it difficult or can I do it on my own? Please provide step by step instructions.

Changing the oil in your BMW 6 Series is not difficult, but it does require some specific steps that need to be followed. First, make sure you have all the necessary tools and supplies, such as a socket set, oil filter wrench, new oil filter, and the correct type of oil for your car. Next, locate the oil filter and drain plug under your car. Before starting the process, let your car cool down for at least 30 minutes. Then, using the socket set, remove the drain plug and let the old oil drain into a pan. Once it stops dripping, replace the drain plug and remove the old filter using the oil filter wrench. Then, apply a thin layer of oil to the new filter and screw it onto the engine. Add the new oil through the oil filler cap, checking the level with the dipstick as you go. Finally, start your car and let it run for a few minutes to ensure the oil is circulating properly. Congratulations, you have successfully changed the oil in your BMW 6 Series!
