ReplyTo check the oil level in your BMW 3 Series, start by parking the car on a level surface and turning off the engine. Open the hood and locate the oil dipstick. Pull out the dipstick and wipe it clean with a rag. Then reinsert the dipstick fully and remove it again. The oil level should be between the minimum and maximum marks on the dipstick. If the level is low, top off with the recommended oil.
In addition to checking the oil level regularly, it is important to also keep an eye on the oil color. If the oil appears dark and dirty, it is time for an oil change. Also, make sure to use the recommended oil for your specific BMW 3 Series model.
