I just purchased a used BMW 8 Series and I want to make sure the oil level is correct. How can I check it myself?

First, park your BMW on a level surface and let the engine cool down. Then, locate the oil dipstick, pull it out, and wipe it clean using a cloth. Reinsert the dipstick and pull it out again to see the oil level. The dipstick will have markings to indicate the correct oil level.
