How do I reset my BMW 3 Series navigation system?

I recently purchased a used BMW 3 Series and the previous owner had their navigation system set up. How do I reset it so that I can set up my own preferences and destinations?

You can easily reset your navigation system by going into the main menu and selecting the ‘Settings’ tab. From there, choose ‘Navigation’ and then ‘Reset’. This will erase all previous settings and allow you to input your own preferences and destinations.
