How do I reset the oil service interval in my BMW 1 Series?

I recently changed the oil in my BMW 1 Series but the service light didn't go away. Is there a way to manually reset the oil service interval?

To reset the oil service interval in your BMW 1 Series, follow these steps: 1. Turn the ignition on without starting the engine. 2. Press and hold the odometer button until the service light turns off. 3. Release the button and turn the ignition off. 4. Turn the ignition back on and the service light should be reset.
