How do I turn off the auto start-stop feature on the BMW X8?

I find the auto start-stop feature on my BMW X8 to be annoying and would like to disable it. Can someone guide me on how to do this?

You can disable the auto start-stop feature by pressing the Auto Start Stop button next to the gear shift lever. It will disable the feature for your current drive, but it will need to be disabled again the next time you start the car.

You can permanently disable the auto start-stop feature by going into the vehicle settings and selecting 'Auto Start Stop' under the 'Efficient Dynamics' tab. Here, you can choose to disable the feature entirely.
