I recently purchased a BMW XM and the constant start/stop function is driving me crazy. It's not only annoying, but also takes a toll on the engine. Is there a way to permanently disable this feature?
ReplyJohn, unfortunately, there is no way to permanently disable the start/stop function. However, you can manually turn it off by pressing the deactivation button located on the center console. But keep in mind, this feature helps with fuel efficiency and reducing emissions, so it's best to leave it on most of the time.
Hi John, I suggest taking your BMW to a certified mechanic. They may be able to reprogram the system to disable the start/stop function. Just make sure they have experience with BMW vehicles.
