I opted for the non-turbocharged engine in my BMW M9 and have been perfectly satisfied. It still offers impressive performance and I personally did not find the need to spend extra on the turbo option.
It really depends on your driving preferences and needs. If you value speed and power, the turbocharged engine is definitely worth it. But if you mainly use your car for everyday commute, the non-turbo option may suffice.
