What are the recommended oil grades for a BMW X5?

I recently purchased a BMW X5 and I am not sure what oil grades are recommended for optimal engine performance. Can someone provide some guidance on this matter?

It is recommended to use BMW Longlife-01 approved oils, such as Castrol EDGE 0W-40 or Mobil 1 0W-40.
