I recently purchased a BMW M4 and noticed that it has a feature called launch control. Can someone explain what this system does and how I can activate it? Thanks!
ReplyThe launch control system in the BMW M4 is designed to optimize acceleration and improve the car's performance. To activate it, you need to put the car in Sport+ mode, turn off traction control and stability control, fully depress the brake and accelerator pedals, then release the brake when the RPM reaches around 3,000.
As a fellow BMW M4 owner, I highly recommend using launch control sparingly as it puts a lot of strain on the car's drivetrain. It's best to save it for special occasions or track days. Make sure to warm up your tires before attempting launch control to get the best results.
I've heard that consistently using launch control can lead to premature wear and tear on the car's components. So, unless you're willing to pay for expensive repairs, I suggest avoiding launch control altogether.
