What type of oil should I use for my BMW 8 Series?

I just purchased a used BMW 8 Series and I'm not sure what type of oil to use for optimal performance. Can anyone provide some recommendations?

It is recommended to use a fully synthetic oil for your BMW 8 Series.

I have been using Castrol Edge 5W-30 in my BMW 8 Series and have had great results.
