Why are my BMW 4 Series brakes making a squealing noise?

I have noticed that my BMW 4 Series brakes make a loud squealing noise whenever I press on them. This just started happening and I'm not sure what could be causing it. Is this something I should be concerned about?

It is likely that your brake pads are worn down and need to be replaced. This is a common issue with BMW 4 Series cars and is nothing to be alarmed about. However, it is important to get them replaced as soon as possible to prevent any potential damage to your brake system.

Another possible cause of the squealing noise could be a buildup of brake dust on the brake rotors. This can easily be cleaned off with a brake cleaner or by taking your car to a professional for a brake service.
