Why does my BMW M8 make a clicking noise when I start it?

I just recently bought a BMW M8 and noticed that when I start it, there is a loud clicking noise coming from under the hood. It only lasts for a few seconds and then goes away. Is this something I should be concerned about?

It is normal for a BMW M8 to make a clicking noise when starting, as it is a sign that the fuel injectors and fuel pump are priming. However, if the clicking noise persists or is accompanied by other unusual sounds, it is recommended to have it checked by a certified mechanic.

I would suggest checking your battery connections and making sure they are secure. Loose connections can sometimes cause a clicking noise when starting the car. If the issue persists, it is best to have a mechanic take a look.

If you recently started using a different type of fuel, it could be causing the clicking noise. Try switching back to the recommended fuel type for your BMW M8 and see if the noise goes away. If not, have it inspected by a mechanic.
