Why does my BMW M8's engine make a knocking sound?

I recently heard a knocking sound coming from my BMW M8's engine. It only happens when the car is idling or at low speeds. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

It is possible that the knocking sound is caused by a faulty fuel injector. I would recommend taking your car to a mechanic to have it checked and possibly replaced.

Another possibility is that the knocking sound is coming from a worn out engine mount. This can be fixed by replacing the mount, but it's best to have a professional take a look.
