Why does my BMW X5 shake when I brake?

I've noticed that my BMW X5 shakes or vibrates when I come to a stop and press on the brakes. This doesn't happen all the time, but it's becoming more frequent. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

This shaking could be caused by a number of things, including warped brake rotors, worn brake pads, or even low tire pressure. I recommend having a mechanic inspect your brakes and tires to determine the cause of the shaking. It's important to address this issue as it can affect your car's overall handling and safety.

I've experienced this issue before and it turned out to be my brake rotors were warped. This can happen due to normal wear and tear, but driving habits can also contribute to it. Be sure to take your BMW X5 in for regular maintenance and avoid harsh braking as much as possible.

Check the condition of your brake pads. If they're worn down, they can cause the shaking you're experiencing. It's a good idea to replace your brake pads every 50,000 miles (or sooner if you notice any issues). Neglecting to do so can not only lead to shaking, but also cause damage to your brake rotors.
