Why is my BMW 5 Series steering wheel shaking?

My BMW 5 Series steering wheel shakes when I drive at high speeds, especially on the highway. I've noticed this issue since I bought the car, but I'm not sure what's causing it. Is this a common issue with BMW 5 Series? What can I do to fix it?

Hi Riley, it's not uncommon for the steering wheel to shake at high speeds in a BMW 5 Series. This could be caused by unbalanced or worn tires, worn suspension components, or even a misaligned wheel. I suggest taking your car to a reputable mechanic to have it checked and properly aligned.

Hey Riley, I had a similar issue with my BMW 5 Series and it turned out to be a bent wheel. Have you hit any potholes or road debris recently? If so, I recommend getting your wheels checked for any damage.

Hi Riley, I also experienced shaking in my BMW 5 Series and it was due to worn out control arm bushings. This is a common issue with older models. I suggest having the control arm bushings replaced to improve the handling and stability of your car.
