Why is my BMW M8 engine making strange noises?

I recently purchased a BMW M8 and have noticed some strange noises coming from the engine. It's a bit concerning and I'm not sure what could be causing it. Does anyone have any insight on what the issue could be?

It's important to first narrow down where the noise is coming from. Is it coming from the top or bottom of the engine? This could indicate different issues.

Check the oil level and oil quality. Low oil or old, dirty oil can cause engine noise.
