Why is my BMW M8 producing excessive exhaust smoke?

I recently purchased a used BMW M8 and noticed that it is producing an excessive amount of exhaust smoke. It is also using up more fuel than usual. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?

Excessive exhaust smoke in a BMW M8 can be caused by a number of factors, including worn out piston rings, valve seals, or a faulty turbocharger. It is important to have the issue diagnosed by a qualified mechanic as soon as possible to avoid further damage to the engine.

I had a similar issue with my BMW M8 and it turned out to be a problem with the fuel injectors. I would recommend getting them checked and replaced if necessary.

Another common cause of excessive exhaust smoke in BMW M8s is a clogged catalytic converter. This can be caused by using low quality fuel or failing to replace the air filter regularly. It's always best to use high quality fuel and follow the manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule to prevent these issues.
