Why is my BMW's engine making a ticking noise?

I recently bought a used BMW and I've noticed that the engine makes a ticking noise. It's not very loud, but it's noticeable. Is this something I should be worried about?

It's common for BMW engines to make a ticking noise, especially on older models. However, it's always a good idea to get it checked out by a mechanic to be sure.

A

The ticking noise could be caused by a faulty valve or lifter. It's best to take your car to a trusted mechanic to have it inspected.

I had the same issue with my BMW a few months ago. It turned out to be a loose exhaust mount. Take your car to a mechanic and they should be able to fix it for you.
