I recently noticed that the temperature gauge on my BMW M6 has been consistently running high. What could be causing this and what steps should I take to fix it?

First, check your coolant levels and make sure they are topped off. If that doesn't solve the issue, it could be a faulty thermostat or water pump. In that case, I would recommend taking it to a certified BMW mechanic for further diagnosis.

Are you driving in stop-and-go traffic frequently? This can put a lot of strain on your engine and cause it to overheat. It may be beneficial to give your car a break and let it cool down before continuing your drive.
