Why does my BMW M1 make a clicking noise when turning?

I recently purchased a used BMW M1 and when I turn the steering wheel, there is a clicking noise coming from the front of the car. What could be causing this and how can I fix it?

The clicking noise is most likely caused by a worn out CV joint. This can be fixed by replacing the joint.

Make sure to check the power steering fluid level, as low levels can also cause a clicking noise when turning.
