Why is my BMW X5's engine knocking?

I've noticed a knocking sound coming from my BMW X5's engine. It seems to happen more when I accelerate. What could be causing this and should I be worried?

The most common cause of engine knocking in a BMW X5 is bad fuel. Make sure you are using high-quality fuel from a reputable gas station. If the issue persists, it could be a sign of a more serious engine problem.

It could also be caused by a faulty spark plug or ignition coil. Have a mechanic check these components to see if they need to be replaced. Ignoring this issue could result in further damage to your engine.
